Be an Insurance Nerd. Be Informed.

By Allen Flatt Ballidis & Leslie on July 16, 2024

We’re shining a light on the importance of understanding your insurance, especially if you’ve been in a motor vehicle accident. At Allen Flatt Ballidis & Leslie, we know how crucial it is to be well-informed. Here are some key things to keep in mind as we approach National Insurance Nerd Day this Thursday:

  • Report the Accident Promptly – Notify your insurance company as soon as possible. Delays can complicate the claims process.
  • Understand Your Coverage – Know what your policy covers, including liability, collision, medical, and uninsured motorist coverage.
  • Document Everything – Take photos of the scene, get contact information from witnesses, and keep all medical records and repair estimates.
  • Don’t Admit Fault – Let the insurance companies determine liability. Stick to the facts when discussing the accident.
  •  Consider Legal Advice – If you’re unsure about your rights or feel overwhelmed, seeking legal advice can ensure you get the compensation you deserve.

We are here to help you navigate the complexities of insurance claims and get you back on the road to recovery. Stay informed, be an insurance nerd, and drive safely!
