Summer Boating Safety Tips

Summer is right around the corner, which means boating season is on the way! We urge you to stay safe and recommend following these five tips when on the waterways:

🚤 Always wear a lifejacket
🚤 Utilize the engine cut-off device
🚤 Never boat under the influence
🚤 Watch out for carbon monoxide exposure
🚤 Have a plan to communicate past the boat

By itself, Newport Harbor sees almost half of all boating incidents in Southern California. Most boating accidents occur in July, on the weekends, and in the afternoon.
