Congratulations to Our Rise to Shine Scholarship Finalists
The weeks seem to have flown by as we at Allen Flatt Ballidis & Leslie have been privileged enough to review the applications for our 2020 Rise to Shine Scholarship. While you may not have entered your professional lives just yet, you have all shown that you have something amazing to offer the world, so long as you have the courage to let yourself shine.
There was once a time that we approached our clients in the same, typical way that most law firms do. We believed that all we had to offer was our legal knowledge and expertise. When we took a case, we also took control of it without any forethought to how isolating that made our clients feel. Now, we know better, and do our best to shine with our clients each and every day.
Hearing from the students of today about their passions, strengths, weaknesses, and everything else that makes them shine has been an inspiring experience. We are sure that the future of our nation is in great hands. However, we (sadly) cannot select every one of you to be our finalists. A hearty congratulations to:
We received many applications and essays, but yours managed to capture what it means to shine the best. Now, we are given the immensely difficult task of picking just one of you to receive the $1,000 scholarship. The winner will be announced on June 9th, 2020. Before we go, we would like to offer a sincere and wholehearted thank you to all of our applicants. Even though you were not selected to be a finalist, you still shone brightly, and should feel incredibly proud of yourself. Feel free to apply again to the Rise to Shine Scholarship next year, so long as you are still a student.
