While you may not have entered your professional lives just yet, you have all shown that you have something amazing to offer the world, so long as you have the courage to let yourself shine.
Get Ready for the 2020 Rise to Shine Scholarship
A new year, a new decade, a new scholarship! We at Allen Flatt Ballidis & Leslie will once again be offering a nationwide $1,000 scholarship to help aspiring students achieve their dreams and pay for educational expenses. This award is available to both high school seniors and current college students who plan on continuing their education.

The first year of running the Rise To Shine Scholarship has been wonderful for us! Allen Flatt Ballidis & Leslie reviewed over 200 essays to come up with five finalists. Then, we re-read essays and reviewed the transcripts of our finalists to come up with the undisputed winner:

We’ve never done this before, and we couldn’t be more excited! We at Allen Flatt Ballidis & Leslie will be offering a $1,000 SCHOLARSHIP to high school seniors and current college students from across the country who are planning to continue their education! The money can be used for educational expenses, like tuition, supplies, or those all-important meal plans. See if you’re eligible to apply.

For four years, our Suzanne Leslie has chosen by the American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys on their annual list of the 10 Best Lawyers in California, specifically, in the Orange County area. Now, we’re celebrating this award once again for 2019!
Ms. Leslie is the owner and managing partner of Allen Flatt Ballidis & Leslie, and has been with the firm for over 25 years. She started as a law clerk, and worked her way up to boss. And our team couldn’t be happier that her accomplishments have been recognized by a third-party organization!
Reflections of Charitable Giving During the Holidays
Twenty-six years ago my daughter was born and during the delivery she swallowed a significant amount of umbilical fluid and was born unable to breathe on her own. Fortunately the hospital where we delivered was equipped with a neo natal unit and doctors were able to place her on a breathing machine within minutes–not only saving her life, but preventing many health complications in the future. She stayed in the neo-natal unit for nearly two weeks even although I was discharged within 24 hours after she arrived. My husband and I had to travel back and forth to the hospital to bond with her and for me to be able to provide her with breast milk. Needless to say, it was a stressful time in our lives.
